i cant stand the farming in 2.0, every 10 minutes? really? WHY! WHY YOU DO DIS?!?
i just wanna send my little groups of farmers around n hit them all at once n BAM, be done with it for that day :/ if i do the equivalent of that now i get way less resources than if i sat there clicking them every 10 minutes :/

FOR SHAME GREPOLIS!! FOR SHAME!!

what about the originals

what about the players that joined them in the first month? that started the game that kept it going and brought there freinds in. the life of grepolis? shouldnt we be allowed to have our say? if the server does die then so what... most players would go to other servers. they want to make more money? well put advertisements up for the 1.0 servers... there are many players (the ones that are left) from the beginning all who have went and tried it notice most didnt stay, some will stay some will go but i doubt any will spend money. those who have bought gold have paid for 1.0 those who have started grepolis built started 1.0 not 2.0

Updating 1.0 worlds is Okay, but i don't know why some players don't want the update....i think they like to enjoy the bugs :x

When does a world end?
The worlds do not end after 4 World wonders are completed by an alliance, it will continue. The next goal for the leading alliance will of course be to gain control of all 7 World Wonders. Once, and if they can achieve this, they will unlock the most prestigious award available in the game “Ruler of XXX”. This will be visible on the player’s profile.

The Worlds will continue to stay open until the next hero world is launched. Then the worlds will be assessed for activity. It is not our intention to take away the hard earned cities and armies our players have developed. If a world’s active users fall below the limit of 1000, the endgame for the world will be ushered in.

This might sound straight forward but with a new world starting every month it really has taken away from the population of the older world. I really don't think you will find 1000 accounts logging in within 24 hours in any world over 12 months old.

but if you count active users as those that log in within 7 days or in vacation you might easily find 1000 active users.

What is the criteria used in determining whether an account is considered active?

4. 2.0 is not all about "sim city",I'm confident in saying that you griefers have little experience about world wonders. You can't just pre-judge what the turnout will be if you have no real clue what these world wonders will bring. Building just one wonder would take a lot of time and effort which would give opponents the opportunity to attack and make their own wonders,which possibly creates a both disarming and defending and making battle of world wonders,which I think would be rather interesting.

they were going to change all worlds to 2 no matter what there poll showed 2 = more money incoming Personally I doubt they even counted the results

I can't agree with this. The results were not staged (I believe) but they were unsatisfying. That second question was a joke and n00bs who just saw that message saw all of the things that 2.0 does just voted yes. If there are 4000 players in a world and 500 vote to keep 1.26, that is 3500 who don't know how annoying 2.0 can be and just see fancy interfaces and a guy with a beard who offers resources, of to their knowing is a lot (800 wood for 1000 stone - rip-off). And I am not trying to say 2.0 players are noobs. There must be several great 2.0 players but don't harm our worlds please.

You can always send and cancel support instead of sending to farming villages. If I recall correctly, the anti-timing time is added to the end of the journey not the beginning. If this hasn't changed, you can be just as accurate.

True, but what about the cities where I am all alone on the island. That reduces the amount of sniping troops I can have cause I have to build ls to accompany them. Otherwise they will just be sunk in the unescorted transports.

I guess I could revolt a farm so I will have something to attack without the need of ships. Or not conquer the 8th on those islands. But then my ocd kicks in and I have to have all of them

Do islands that allready belong complitly to one alliance count when 2.0 start or no?? Couse in that case in zeta all alliances allready own at least 4 islands if not more..

No player will lose any cities and alliances will still control what they currently control.

well if the update is unstoppable i want to ask what is going to change?
one up date ye did in psi ruined it for me
inno changed the attack time displayed for landings to whatever time zone the player was in
the oo's of players i know who play this game all play on servre time as a common time so they can work together with attacks and defending
if u have someone in america and someone in england and another in new zealand it is more beneficial to play off the same time and not be told what time it will land in my time zone
let the players choose what time zone they set and not inno

There was an update which did mess up the time-zone settings, but that has been dealt with. I think many players find it easier to use GMT+1 as the alliance time because it simplifies coordination of attacks. However if you want to choose your own time-zone you can do that in Settings.

So now that we have espionage research in place of the demand troops? Will that be automatically researched in the cities I have demand troops researched in?

Players will get the RP back for having researched Demand Troops and you would be able to research Espionage if you choose.

Will our farms aready be conqured on our islands? Or will we have to build troops in our ls/bs cities to get them?

You will have control of one farm to start with. Each village requires different numbers and types of troops to take it over. There is information available on the Wiki that gives you an idea of what you will need. Slings tend to work easiest as they c

No, you would only lose those units if you switched the god being worshipped in that city. Same rules apply as usual.

Are you refering to my post? I was not fussing, just asking. As if you will note I have quite a few questions about the update. I have seen all the posts saying noooo and such and see that it has done nothing to stop the update, so I am only asking questions that I am not finding the answers to. And if you are refering to my question, read a little closer it says do I have to build troops to conquer in my ls/bs cities, not I wont be able to.

For those farm villages not under your control you will need troops to conquer them. The 7th village requires horse to take it easily, but you can send in slings to take it as well. Most 2.0 players leave the 8th village because you need Cats to take down the wall or suffer heavy losses.

But now that does pose another question, how is it gonna effect me sniping cs's? Currently I can snipe a 2 sec gap between the cs and support with consistency. Am I still gonna be able to do the same when I only have to click to demand from the in-island farms?

Sending and cancelling support is an easy way to do this still, it basically takes over from using the farms, but the anti-timing still affects troop movements.

Questions are being answered but with many off-topic posts in this thread it takes time to get to all of them. As for your question about what the criteria will be, I don't have that information, but I can try to find out.

Regarding all of the complaints in this thread about the update, please keep those to the appropriate threads. Any more posts found in here will be deleted as off-topic. This is a general warning to all.

I am very upset that they are going to ruin the game as we know it. I have a city, yeah 1 city in Upsilon because its so damm slow. I hate it. If they ruin Omicron that way I will not have the patience to play and therefore purchase no more gold. What a grave mistake and disapointment.:Angry:

I really do not understand you naysayers , 2.0 was always coming from the moment of it's inception, If innogames made any mistake it was releasing 2.0 as separate worlds before changing over the old ones. Hind sight being 20/20 I am sure they would have not done that knowing the late reaction. I am glad 2.0 is finally here, I have been actively lobbying for it for months. It gives a way to win the game and move on, I just do not get the "forever" game people, If let be 1.26 worlds in another year would have almost no one playing. I am sure innogames sees the stats and trending of activity. The farming arguments are ridiculous, give it up. The interface is different but essentially functions the same when you break it down, and hey you can actually win something! Wow what an idea a goal for the game, instead of "let me get 500 cities" I do not want 500 cities, I have been sick of dealing with cities ever since I went past 150 in theta, It is to time consuming.
And a lot more people are happy about this change then any of you naysayers will care to admit to, They just would not post about since it would get them flamed or they realize it is falling on deaf ears. It is over move on, If you really hate it that much then it is time to shop around I suppose.

I agree with the ending part, but that is not a reason to change all the features of 1.26 to 2.0.

I have already done it, and there are very good alternatives, so I am taking my $$$ over there.

For the most part, most, if not all, of the updated worlds will begin the Wonders Era. Of course they will still need to control an island completely in order to do so.

I'm trying to understand the Wiki but, i have question

Demolition of Wonders

There are two types of ways in which a Wonder can be demolished. The first type is partial demolition and is through loss of control of the island. The second type is total demolition and is through the disbanding of an alliance.
Loss of Island Control

Should an alliance lose control of one or more cities on an island with a Wonder under construction, the current level on which the Wonder is being built will be lost. For example: If Alliance A is building Level 7 of Wonder X, and have put 10,000,000 resources towards its completion; if Alliance B comes in and takes a city on that island, then all of the resources for Level 7 will be lost and the Wonder will remain at Level 6 with construction halted until control of the island is regained.

Alliance Disbanding

Should an alliance disband, or be disbanded, all Wonders under its control will be lost. This is total demolition of the entire Wonder and all built levels. Additionally, the merging of two alliances will also result in this happening. The alliance merging into the other alliance would have to disband in order for its members to join the newly merged alliance.

Also, if the alliance building the wonder loses all of its cities on that island, then the Wonder will be completely demolished as well.

What if a world wonder is already built? does it have to be completely destroyed? or can it lose levels also?

The Wonder would be completely destroyed and all levels lost. If the alliance only loses one city, the Wonder would remain intact if it is completed to level 10.

so a alliance that fully built a wonder, but then lost only one city could still have that wonder completely finished?
