Intermediate Conquered while colony ship en route

What would happen if my city was conquered while my colony ship was on its way to found a new city?

I'm not asking for advice, I'm asking about what are the rules that apply when someone's city gets taken while having a colony ship en route to found a new city.

what happens to the colony ship?
who will be the owner of the founded city?

....

I'm pretty sure the city in process of being founded will still count.

so the player would be without a city until the ship reaches its destination plus 24 hours to found?

i've read too many articles in the help, nothing mentioned about this.

Dude read the title of the subforum before you start posting....
This says GrepoFX...which means it's only for graphics and whatever has to do with images...
Since this is a question for ingame I believe you should have posted this in the subforum Questions and Guides...
